These Terms govern your use of Sound Booster (package name: com.soundboost.app, the "App"). By installing and using the App, you agree to these Terms.
1. What the App does
The App lets you control your device's media volume and amplify it beyond the normal limit, adjust five volume streams, use presets, and control volume from a Quick Settings tile and a home-screen widget. The App is free and displays ads.
2. Important hearing and device safety notice
- Volume above 100% is amplified beyond your device's normal limit.
- Listening at high volume for extended periods can cause permanent hearing damage.
- The loudest settings may distort or damage your speaker.
- The App provides safeguards — a headphone cap, automatic fade-down and a one-time safety notice before you go above 100% — but you remain responsible for keeping your listening at a safe level.
- Please take care when using the App in situations where you need to hear your surroundings, such as driving or walking.
3. Your obligations
You must use the App in compliance with applicable law, and must not reverse-engineer or tamper with the App or interfere with its normal operation.
4. Advertising
The App displays ads through Google AdMob. Please see the Privacy Policy for details on ad serving.
5. Limitation of liability
The App is provided "as is". Amplification performance varies by device manufacturer, model and Android version, and the developer does not guarantee any specific level of volume increase. To the extent permitted by applicable law, the developer is not liable for any direct or indirect damages arising from use of the App, including hearing damage, damage to your device or speaker, or data loss.
6. Changes to or discontinuation of the service
The developer may change the App's features or discontinue it, and will announce significant changes through the App or this page.
7. Changes to these Terms
If these Terms change, the updated text and its effective date will be posted on this page.
